Business Analyst (Business Architecture) – Luxembourg


We’re looking for a Business Analyst (Business Architecture) for our client based in Luxembourg.


Luxembourg – International Organisations


The tasks/activities will include:

  • Provide senior expertise in developing and implementing business architecture at the EIB;
  • Provide senior expertise in helping the interim Head of DTO to guide and advise the digital transformation key roles: business delivery lead, technical leads, (IT) product owners;

Primary activities:

  • In collaboration with the business stakeholders:
  • Support the impact/benefit assessment of initiatives (using the current tool at the EIB),
  • Produce the business scenarios for the digital storylines and initiatives,
  • Provide recommendations to digital transformation key roles on the relevant target business application landscapes (to-be orchestration of IT products) of the EIB,
  • Make the link with Proof of Concepts, on-going market watch and architecture principles;
  • Align her/his work with the relevant DTO colleagues and assets (business process improvement, innovation, data architecture, application/technical architecture);
  • Transfer knowledge to the delivery and technical teams;

Secondary activities:

  • Support the business architecture knowledge topics in the documentation of the data, process, and business application inventories, and collaborate with various capabilities and functional teams to gather and record the company’s business and business application environment;
  • Support the design of business architecture blueprints (for instance in contributing to the business capability map).


(Essential) On-site work is required. No remote options available.

The staff member must demonstrate knowledge in:

  • Digital Transformation;
  • New technologies and business implementation: RPA, AI etc.;
  • Business architecture methodologies & frameworks (BIZBOK, TOGAF etc.);
  • Business architecture tools (Hopex, Aris, etc.);
  • MS Office tools, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint.

The staff member must demonstrate competence in:

  • 2 years professional experience in global financial/banking organisations more specifically in core lending and/or financing business processes;
  • 2 years professional experience in Business Architecture actively engaging with Digital Transformation key roles (business delivery lead, technical leads, product owners etc.), business stake- holders, delivery teams and all management levels of an organisation;
  • A proven record of accomplishment and hands-on knowledge of business architecture practice; developing the business scenarios for large digital initiatives and/or digital programmes; designing to-be target state of the business application landscape for specific business domain or value chain and for initiatives cross business domains or value chains; designing value streams;
  • Hands-on experience with business architecture tools (Hopex, Aris or others) as an end user;
  • Practical experience with methodologies related to business architecture (e.g. TOGAF, Zachmanor others). Additionally agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) would be an advantage.
